Giving you a run down of my most recent summer purchases. A couple neutral dresses and sandals, soma basics and a pair of earring I am so excited about.
WEAR THEIR NAMES EARRINGS – The jewelry from this line is made from broken glass that was collected after the protests from the Black Lives Matter movement took place in Charleston, SC on King Street. The designs are gorgeous and 100% of the proceeds go towards the movement! Each piece is named after a Black person who wrongfully lost their life. I ordered The Tamir and I cannot wait to get them in!
TAN SLIDE SANDALS – These run true to size. They are very similar to the Hermes Oran pair that I want. I figured it was worth it to buy an affordable similar pair to see if I really wear a style like this as much as I think I will. So far I can say the answer is YES!
NEUTRAL MIDI DRESS – I find that easy to wear midi dresses are super versatile. They work for anything from drs appointments to work to dinners out! I was on the hunt for a neutral option and I ended up loving this one I finally found. FYI–it can be a touch sheer in certain lighting but it doesn’t bother me.
TAN SQUARE NECKLINE MINI DRESS – Obsessed with square necklines this season. Totally obsessed. I had a hard time choosing a color in this mini but I really like this neutral oatmeal shade. Bonus: this one has pockets!
WHITE STRAPPY SANDALS – These seemed trendy, yet practical since the heel is low and thick. I love the idea of these with jeans and a white t-shirt or white blazer. Also love them with dresses too!
BLACK BUTTON DOWN SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT – This is perfect for work (tucked in and buttoned up to a modest spot) and for weekend (tucked in and unbuttoned deeper). I might need the white too!
TINY HOOP EARRINGS – I searched high and low for teeny tiny hoop earrings. These are the winners! They bottom of these hangs directly under the bottom of my ear. They are snug and really delicate. I wear the 8mm in my third hole and the 9mm in my second hole.
LINEN BUTTON DOWN – These shirts are awesome for summer! Tucked in, untucked loose or as a bathing suit cover up. I have the brown and tan.
BLACK SLEEVELESS TOP – I love how modest the cut of this sleeveless top is. And the material is a winner too. Love that it’s not just a cotton.
BLACK SQUARE NECKLINE MIDI DRESS – This dress is the one that started my love for midi options. I have worn it more than any other dress I have owned!
I try not to shop too much during the summer because sometimes it can lead to buying inexpensive things that don’t get worn for more than one season. But this year I have added a few neutral, wearable, versatile items that I hope are the the exception.
