-GIVEAWAY- Quay High Key Sunnies

Quay has rather quickly become my favorite brand of affordable sunglasses.  They are so trendy & fun!  My most worn style to date is definitely the High Key (seen above).  It’s a really oversized aviator that goes with everything!  I have them in black and gold.  I was a little too impatient in getting the gold and as soon as I saw them in stock anywhereeee I ordered.  Thus, I ended up with not one but two pairs.  Since they are so hard to get your hands on [they sell out from so many retailers very quickly or are on backorder] I figured I would give this pair away to a WW reader!

Sooooo, if you all love sunnies as much as I do then enter your info below for a chance to win.  You’ll also need to follow me on IG (@weekendwishing) and tag a couple friends under the photo.

Winner will be announced Tuesday, April 25th!  Cheers!

New Workout Wear

My apologies, but…we’re going to have to make this one short and sweet.  Real life talk:  picking up the house, doing [tons] of laundry and boxing up returns got the best of me last night.  However, I was determined to get this gym look up for you all today because I am loooving these new pieces and I had a bunch of you all ask about this pullover after it was on my IG story on Sunday.

Ethan and I have been taking spinning classes again lately so I have been adding new pieces to my workout wear.  My new favorites have to be these high-rise leggings because they are so buttery soft.  [wearing a xs]

&& this pullover is perf because it’s lightweight and can be thrown over my tank to and from class. [wearing a small]  These new white kicks are everything in my book.  They seriously feel like clouds! [tts, wearing an 7.5]

Happy Hump Day, babes!  I am seeing another busy night at home in my future but we are heading to Savannah Thursday evening so it’ll all be worth it!

Ankle Strap Heels

I can’t believe it’s April already, but I am really excited!  I feel like everyone has so many different events coming up soon.  We have an out of town wedding to go to next weekend and the weekend after we will be at Keeneland and out with friends and the weekend following that I will be in Dallas for the RewardStyle Conference.  And I know I am not the only one who has a full calendar–sooo, that got me thinking about shoes.  I am not a gal who wears heels during the week (gimmie me all the comfy ones M-F) but some of these upcoming events require them.  So what’s my go-to style?  An ankle strap sandal.

They are minimal, understated and sleek.  Because of this, they pair well with soooo many different outfits and work for soooo many different occasions.

This pair has been on heavy rotation since I bought them last Fall.  I wear them with jeans, dresses and skirts.  I cannot believe I have not been back for another pair yet either. They come in oodles of other options & are under $90!  [runs tts]

I know several people have and love these too.  They are really similar and come in some different color options so I think they would be a great pick too!

ps, this slip dress is one that you need.  It’s such an easy one to throw on and packs really well because of the material.  I would definitely wear it with sneakers too!  [runs big, wearing a xxs]

These are my most recent sandal purchase and I am loving them because they are a bit more edgy.  I paired them with some new Levi’s [size up!] and a black bodysuit for an easy weekend look and I cannot wait to wear them with a mini dress too!  They’re also under $90 and come in three other neutral colors too.  [runs tts]

I should also say that I have these and I also LOVE them.  Since they were a splurge, I wear them more for special occasions but I definitely recommend them as well.  I cannot wait to add the black to my closet too one day.

&& if you’re not in the market to invest in a pair then these are a GREAT alternative to the Stuart Weitzman pair!  They are just as classic and easy to dress up or down.

Also great–these!  Very similar, but I think the placement of the strap on the side of the foot makes them a bit more dressy.  They would be perfect with a cocktail dress.

Side Note:  I think clear sandals are going to be a big trend in the upcoming seasons & I am ready to jump on board!  I keep seeing them pop up here and there and I’m obsessed.  I just ordered these and I cannot wait to get them in.

I will add some of my other favorites from Nordstrom below for you all too.  I really enjoyed scrolling through and picking these out!

What kinds of events do you all have coming up?!  Anything fun on the calendar that you are counting down the days to??

White Beachy Sweater & Weekend Sales

I swear… I have been looking for a good white “beachy” sweater for YEARS.  You know, the one that you can wear with lighter colored jeans and a cami in the Spring and the one that you can also throw on over a bikini top with jean shorts on a summer evening  after being by the water all day.  This one is PERFECT!  Finallyyyy.  [wearing a small for more oversized fit in the tee & sweater both]

I just got these jeans in on Friday and I think they’ll be worn a lot.  I was looking for a pair of Levi’s that didn’t have a ton of rips and these were the winning pair because they have a bit of stretch in them.  Just be SURE to size up!  I am always a 25 and I ordered a 26 and honestly, I think I might have been happier with a 27 so they were a more relaxed fit.

Hope you all have had a good weekend.  We’ve been down at the lake house since Friday night.  I’m sharing the new furniture we just got and are putting together on my IG story!

Oh–and I want to share a couple of things that I just bought on maj sale.  One is this cashmere sweater at 70% off, yes 70!  (You all know I am a BIG fan of buying cashmere at the end of the season.  Always happy in the coming year when I do so!)  And another is this fun little red lace number & this black top (that discount is crazy)!  Here are a few more of my favorites for you to browse:

Cheers!

Spring Trends

Some years I hate the transition into Spring.  It’s like I either want a super soft grey cozy sweater or I want a pair of cut off denim shorts–the in between can be hard.  However, this year I have already found myself enjoying the middle months more so I had to ask myself why.  I want to recreate this feeling every year so I am always enjoying time periods rather than wishing them away to get to the next.  So here’s the main two differences from this year..

First, we made a point to travel to warmer spots in the first part of the year.  We did a long weekend in Miami in January and weekend in Charleston in February.  These definitely helped get me ready for Spring.  It was a welcomed change of pace just to be able to have bare ankles so soon in the new year without pushing the envelope too soon here in KY and being grumpy becuase I was really freezing.  So I will definitely try to do some similar travel again next year.

Second, I am really loving some of the fashion trends that are going to be saturating the market this Spring.  I combined several of those into the outfit that you see above.  Easy to wear, off the shoulder tops–light wash denim–mules–chokers–and hoop earrings!  All a yes, in my book!

This Free People lightweight sweater is pretty much stealing the show here though.  It’s the perfect little number to take you into warmer months and it also comes in several other color options!  Pair it with some jean shorts, a glass of wine & a patio and you are good to go! [wearing a small for a slouchy fit]

I am also LOVING this one and this one.  Both will give this same laid back, effortless look.

If you have the shopping bug like me then check out the new arrivals in the trend section on the Nordstrom site.  It’s always one of my favorite places to browse and get ideas of what I want to add to my closet before I finalize an online order.
