OSCAR 2019 LOOKS

Oscar 2019 looks. Breaking down my highs and lows…

If I am being honest, I have been fairly bored with the looks this award season. I feel like they have been pretty forgettable.

But, that being said I was SO excited to watch the Oscars last night. We just got home from Paris on Friday so a cozy night in with pizza and the tv sounded AMAZING. Plus, I am a huge huge fan of A Star is Born (loved it) and I watched Bohemian Rhapsody on the plane and fell for it too. Both so good!

HIGHS

YES. YES. YES. I am not a hot pink fan but this is everything. I love the drama of it, the fullness and most of all the on trend high ruffle neck. Saw a lot of that in the most recent couture shows!
Velvet done right. I am surprised I like it in a color but something about this works and feels right for Feb.
I love how this look is a very Gaga version of breakfast at Tiffany’s. The black sassy shaped McQueen dress angled against the classy updo and mega jewels is insane!
Stunning. I am a bit bored with her silver metallic looks (I feel like she’s had a million) but you can’t deny how well she pulls them off!
I love the direction of the lapels on this jacket, the black on black and the fit of the pants from this look. I wish the side sash had been skipped but I still love this fresh, dark look.
My number one look of the night. The shape of this dress is so strong but the white is what makes it killer. The white pumps are what put this look at the very top for me!
Oh, I love this so much! The structure and the deep v–amazing. The shape is so balanced and the hair and necklace are complimentary!
I do not like the hair or jewelry with this dress, but I think the beading is so interesting and unique. I love that it is something different!

LOWS

This seems like a prom dress. And a bad prom dress at that. Basic and SO boring. Sorry!
People love this but I think it’s cringe worthy! Every time I look at it I have to look away! I hate the color, her hair and how aged this look is.
I like that she kept her hair and jewels simple but it still does not fix this dress. It’s overwhelming and the cut out middle is all wrong.
Eww. No.
Too much. Hated it. It felt all wrong and like she was trying too hard. The hot pink, the satin, the huge bow, the slit. Thank goodness she did a minimal style with her hair.
This seems dated. I was NOT into the satin ribbon like headband and the shoes are a bad choice. I also don’t like a full skirt on someone doing interviews all night.
