Ethan’s work Christmas party is this weekend so I have festive outfits on my mind!
I came up with a couple looks to give you a some inspiration. I love both of these and I hope they help if you have an event to attend this season. (click on any item above to shop!)
The holidays are the perfect time to mix in metallics, sparkle, sequins + velvet. Those textures will make any look seem party ready.
left When I picked out the look on the left I was thinking about an office holiday party. Those can be tricky. You don’t want to stick out and look like the girl who thought she was showing up for a college NYE party in full sequins. But, also, it’s no fun to dress drab.
When I saw these velvet pants I thought they would be PERFECT. Dressy and current, yet still so comfortable! You could pair lots of different tops and shoes with them depending on whether you needed to dress them up or down.
If you’re party is more formal then this sequin sleeve blouse would be SO GOOD. Items like this are great purchases. It’s subtle enough to still be sophisticated while also being very fun! I think it would also be AMAZE paired with some denim and black pumps for a more casual affair. I have a blouse (that actually I stole from my mom) that is black, sleeveless and has a section of black sequin discs at the top. Surprisingly enough I have ended up wearing that top every holiday season since college! I see this blouse being similar to that. Great to have in your closet.
I can vouch for those rose gold heels with this outfit, fyi. I have them and they are a great trendy pair–inexpensive but wearable! Size down when ordering. They run big.
And lastly, I threw in some crystal statement earrings and a fun silver clutch. I looked long and hard for accessories and landed on these because they would go with SO many outfits.
right I think this look would be perfect for anything from a holiday dinner with friends to a casual New Year’s Eve night! I can think of so many things in between that I would wear this to also! The cut of the silver top makes it seem like an expensive top–but it’s budget friendly! I would make sure the fit of it was such that it kind of hung on you. I don’t think it should be a very fitted one.
Those earrings come in silver and gold and I would like to have both! I think they are great for a statement pair. Those along with the clutch adds plenty of sparkle.
I wanted to keep the rest of this outfit simple and chic so I went with some great straight leg jeans and a classic black suede pump! A very downtown girl vibe.
I’ll keep you all posted on what I decide to wear this weekend and be sure to snap a photo to share too! xx
