FREE HOME WORKOUTS FOR QUARANTINE

Before quarantine I was not in the habit of working out at home. But when the gyms closed, I started. I figured I would share some of free home workouts that I have been doing that are perfect for this time.

I kind of go in phases with these. I will do one thing for a couple weeks and then switch it up but they are all workouts that you can easily do at home by yourself.

CYCLEYOU FUSION STRENGTH WORKOUTS – HERE

CycyleYou is a workout studio here in Lexington that we had a long-term membership to in the past. We love the studio! They do cycle, barre, strength, dance, etc classes and during quarantine they have been filming classes and adding them to their website so you can watch from home for free. So generous and helpful!

My current favorite classes are the fusion strength ones. Most are right at 40 minutes. They go by so fast and are full body! The only thing you need are hand weights (or a couple canned goods).

CYCLEYOU BARRE WORKOUTS – HERE

I also love the barre workouts from CycleYou and highly recommend them. You don’t need an actual bar. I just use my desk, bookcase or the back of the couch to rest a couple fingers on for balance. These are also 40 minutes and are a great full body workout. Even if you have not taken barre in the past, you can jump right in.

YOUTUBE BARRE WORKOUT – HERE

This is another barre workout that I found. It’s just a YouTube video I came across. I like it but I prefer the CycleYou videos. This video is also full body though and is a great workout. You only need light hand weights for it so you could definitely use soup can, etc if you are without.

YOUTUBE QUICK ARM WORKOUT – HERE

This video is a great one to do daily and in addition to anything else you have done for the day. It’s super fast but challenging. Great for toning! Ethan does this one with me but he uses weights. We usually pop it on before we go for a walk.

AMAZON JUMP ROPE – HERE

So, to be honest, I have not actually used this yet because it came in recently. Ha! But I ordered it because it was cheap and would not take up hardly any room to store. My plan is pick a song to try to jump rope the whole time to. Then build on it. I’ve heard it’s a great way to get cardio in.
