Bored of cocktail dresses? Try a black jumpsuit. It’s a great alternative to have in your closet for so many events and works for weddings too!
I found this inexpensive black jumpsuit online last year when I was shopping for items to take with me to New York Fashion week. (This one is really similar and has more sizes in stock.) I ended up wearing it casually–with sneakers and a moto jacket. You can see here.
And surprisingly enough I have gotten a ton of use out of it since too! I’ve worn it with black heels to a 30th birthday party, with other sneakers to dinner and then last weekend I paired it with a couple of my nicer accessories–my nude Stuart Weitzman Nudist heels and tan Gucci Disco bag–for a charity event we attended.
So, moral of the story… I suggest adding a black jumpsuit to your closet! It is a great (and easy) alternative to have on hand for a cocktail wear.
