Off the Shoulder

The Perfect Blush Top

Top [under $100] || Shorts, similar || Steve Madden Heels  || Gucci Chain Wallet || Chloe Sunglasses, Color: Gold Transparent Grey || Lips, Color: Stripped || Sunless Tan [the best!]

I liked this top when I saw it online and then I got it in the mail and I loved it and then I wore it and I was obsessed!  The color was what sold me–not too bright but not dull either and flattering on many skin and hair types.  The texture and the way it moves is what will keep me wearing it though!

It also has straps that you can wear over your shoulders if you’d perfer. [wearing a small]

I plan on wearing it with jeans and closed toe pumps until it warms up more around here.

&& speaking of pumps–I am dying for a white pair to carry me into Spring.  I don’t want a chunky heel or for them to be patent leather.  Just a classic pair with a pointed toe.  As soon as I find a pair I am snagging them!

Oh, and happy Hump Day!

I wore this outfit on Sunday night to dinner at my best friends parent’s house and I loved it.  I am all about carrying the of the shoulder trend into the fall months and this top will be just the number to do it with!  It’s such an easy wear and I can’t wait to throw it on with leggings and boots too.  Plus you will not believe the price–so cheap!  I love finding super trendy items at a good price point because you never know how much wear you will actually get out of them.  Same goes with these jeans.. The quality is not great on this pair but I was expecting that since they’re under $20, ha.  But regardless, I was really happy with them (I just got them in the mail this past weekend) because I loved the way the rips were positioned on the legs and I like length.  I think I will wear them lots in the next couple months so they were definitely worth the buy.  I’m wearing a small here for sizing reference.

&& on an even brighter note, I was so thankful to see someone post on IG this morning reminding us of a long weekend ahead!  That will definitely be what is getting me through this week!

Off the Shoulder Top || Black Jeans

Necklace || Lace Up Heels, similar || Sunnies

I got this off the shoulder swing top a couple weeks ago and I have worn it wayyy to much already!  I love the style of it because it is flowy so it’s cool enough to wear now but I think it will be a great transitional piece too.  And this color is what really sent me over the edge!  It’s SUCH a great dark neutral color–just a little different from the typical black.   I wore it last Friday with the black denim and heels that you see above and I also included a couple pics below from when I wore it with white jeans and sandals–since the month of September is all about the “wear now and wear later” items.  && side note, those white jeans are definitely worth adding to your cart [[especially for only $23]]!  You will be so happy you have them to pull out come next summer.  They are a straight leg fit (more modest than the painted-on-legging look) and the fabric is the perfect thickness so it’s not see-through but yet still has some stretch.  Those Margaret Elizabeth bracelets I am wearing still give me all kinds of heart eyes, btw!  I have had them a while and they are still my favorite bracelets to throw on.IMG_2935 IMG_3105

Gold Choker Necklace || Sandals  (40% Off)

Gigi New York Clutch || Margaret Elizabeth Bangles [still my FAVORITES]

I hope you all are starting off your Saturday right–aka, with some goooood coffee and major weekend vibes! Muah!

I’ll be honest, it took me a little longer to come around to the off-the-shoulder trend than most.  It wasn’t because I didn’t like these tops and dresses, but rather because I have had ones in the past were honestly just a pain to wear because it seemed that every time I moved the shirt would slide back on top of my shoulder instead of staying put.  [insert eye roll]   I gave this cute little number a try though and it actually wears great!  The elastic is perfect and keeps the top from slipping.  I have it paired here with neutral accessories and distressed denim (my favorite combo) but I think I will be able to do a lot with the white over the summer.  It is selling fast so grab one today if you’re interested! Only $48 too! Here are a couple other favorites of mine for you all to browse as well…

If you all are giving this trend a try too then tag me in your photos!  I would love to see how you are styling your off-the-shoulder pieces!

We have had the most gorgeous April here in Kentucky that I can remember.  (Gosh I hope I am not jinxing us by writing this–fingers crossed that it continues!)  My dad has a boat at a small lake close by so we’re able to enjoy that when the weather is warm enough and I’m excited for that to be right around the corner!  Stay tuned for a post coming soon with some cute bathing suit and cover-up options!
