Nike for the Win

Nike Sweatshirt || Zella Leggings || Tennis Shoes,similar || North Face Vest, similar || Quay Sunglasses || Givenchy Handbag

This cold weather has me super content to wear athleisure outfits and call it a day.  Whenever I am able to throw on leggings and tennies then I am all about it.

So that being said–I could not resist this new Nike pullover when I found it.  I love that it’s long enough to wear with leggings and it is the perfect weight.

I read a few of the reviews before I placed it in my cart and people were complaining about it not being fleece inside.  Clearly, I ordered regardless [haha] and I have to say.. I’m a fan.  I think I like it even better because it’s not too bulky.  But the BEST part??  Hands down–the pockets!  [I sized up 2 sizes for an oversized fit and length and got a M]

&& we can’t skip over these leggings because they are definitely worth buying.  They are Zella (my current fave) and you all have seen me wear them a lot in my IG pics–I LOVE the material on the front and the fact they they are high-waisted.  [wearing an xs here & I am right under 5′ 4″]

Be prepared to see some more casual looks on WW in the coming months too because (along with the rest of America, I know,I know) plan to get my butt in gear in the new year.  I want to say hello to burning calories instead of eating them for a change.

But… until then… pass the sugar cookies puuuuhlease!

Saturday Morning Errands with Nordstrom

Sweater || Vest || Leggings || Tennis Shoes || No-Show Socks

Why did I wait this long to buy this vest?!  That’s what I would really like to know, because now that I have it I am obsessed.  I teamed up with Nordstrom to bring you all this post and I really wanted to share a look that was super practical for me.  A look that is exactly what I reach for on the weekends time and time again.  Annnd that’s why I came across this vest!  Leggings and a vest are my favorite go-to items for Saturday and Sunday when running errands and grabbing morning coffee so I was on the hunt for a new vest that was not only a neutral but also soft and cuddly.  This one is just that.  FYI–size up! [I went up two sizes actually]  I think Patagonia always runs a bit small so I ordered a small and medium in this and ended up keeping the medium because I really wanted it to be a bit over-sized rather than fitted.

My top is actually a light-weight sweater and it’s a GREAT basic to have in your closet.  I love the laid back fit and I know I’ll be happy to have it to pair with jeans and a scarf too.  Plus the price is hard to beat!  I’ve found that pairing something like this with leggings and tennis shoes can make me feel a lot more put together than an old t-shirt.

These leggings are another great high-rise find!  The beauty of them is how basic they are.  ps, these are actually longer in length on me.  I have them turned up in these photos to be right above my ankle (I do that often with leggings) but I’ll wear them both ways depending on the chill factor. I got an xs.

So for all of you ladies that have a dressier outfit on (and full make up rather than sunglasses, ha) when you grocery shop and run to Starbucks–I give you props.  For me, it will probably always be a casual look like this.  If you’re anything like me then give these basics a try.  They don’t disappoint!

Gym Wear with Nordstrom

dsc_9758dsc_9627

Cardigan || Tank || Leggings || Tennis Shoes || Socks || Bag

I was SO in need for some great workout basics so I was super excited to partner with Nordstrom to pick out some of my favorite items to purchase and share with you all.  I was super selective because I wanted to make sure these were pieces I would wear for years rather than months.  I’ll take you all through each piece below!

     LEGGINGS I have to start with these because for me having a couple of [perfect] pairs of black leggings in my closet is essential.  I wear them multiple times every week so having a pair that fits good and holds me in in all the right places is key.  I only buy leggings now that are high-rise–which these are!  I also loved the contrasting detail on the front of these and the mesh strip on the side.  It gives them a little edge but isn’t an added detail that makes them unflattering–which I feel happens often with other pairs I see for sale. They also come in a super cute grey color too (that I might order) and I love that the price point is so great on these! [For reference on length and fit:  I am 5’3″ and I ordered an xs]

     TANK I am a sucker for a good black workout top and I was looking for a good, plain Nike one.  This one is perf!  I love the simplicity of it and the cut.  It comes in 2 other colors too! [wearing an xs]

     TENNIS SHOES I know black and white tennis shoes can seem boring to some people, but I tend to love “plain” tennies.  You all know I love neutrals so having tennis shoes that go with EVERYTHING are a must for me.  I have a pair that looks really similar to these that I wear on the weekends a lot but I can’t wear them on a long walk or on the treadmill, so I was in the market for a good pair of running shoes. When I got these out of the box I said, “Oh yay!  These are so comfy!!” and I started hopping up and down in the kitchen–no kidding, haha.  So needless to say, they are comfortable but they also have a structured feel. Plus side: They are right at $100.  And if you’re more fun than me and like for your shoes to be more vibrant then there’s oodles of other color options for you to pick from too! 😉 [I went up a half size in these]

     CARDIGAN This cardigan feels like pajamas.  Yep, pajamas.  So much so that I know I’ll end up wearing it while I lay around the house too!  I try to get my butt out of bed a couple times a week and hit an early morning workout class–it’s never easy to get up but I do think it helps make my mood better when I throw on something cozy like this over my workout gear for the ride over.  Sometimes it’s the little things, right? [sweater is oversized, I’m wearing an xs]

FYI–this is selling like hot cakes, so if you’re in the market for the grey color don’t wait around!

     SOCKS I know you can’t see my socks, but these are the ones that I have on and swear by.  I love the no-show pairs (except when running).

     BAG I have had this tote for over a year now (I actually have it in two colors) and I still use it weekly.  I love it for a gym bag because it’s easy to throw anything in and it has an attached zipper pouch inside to store your cell phone and jewelry during your workout. Plus, for $50 I don’t mind to throw my dirty tennies inside if I need to.  It’s also reversible!

I know this post was a tad long–sorry!  But I wanted to make sure I gave you all an honest review about these items because I know how important it is to find good basics that fit your lifestyle.  I hope this helps if you all are in the market for some new workout goodies!
