A touch of Leopard

Vest || Sweater|| Jeans [order one size up] || Sneakers [SO good, but order 1/2 size up] || Sunglasses || Handbag || Earrings

So, remember when I shared a couple of my latest purchases last week?  You can see the post here.  But this leopard number was included and I have to say, I ended up loving it.  It is a little more bold than what I usually pick up but when I saw the fur and the silver zipper I had to go for it.  It was time to add a little leopard back into the mix!  && I was so happy to see that J.Crew finally has some swoon worthy items back on their site.  I haven’t bought anything from them in years but I think they have made a little turn around and stepped up to the plate this year.

A faux fur vest is definitely something you should have a couple of for Fall!  I decided I wanted this one over-sized so I ordered up and I love the fit.  [wearing a small]  However, if I wanted more of a normal fit then an xs would have been plenty big so just keep that in mind.  It is 20% off if you buy today too–woohoo!  I am super tempted to get it in this solid color as well.  I die over that vivid burgundy color this season.

&& I love how it pairs with all the neutrals I wear!  I layered it with this super soft grey sweater here because, well, I haven’t taken it off much lately.  I am wearing it tons! [wearing US4 (0-2)]

Yesterday I thought it was Thursday allllllll day.  So, I am glad we’ve finally made it to Friday Eve.  Bring on the TGIT line up of shows!

The Perfect Grey

A hard (but very rewarding cycling class), a good bowl of turkey chili and some HBO–last night didn’t shape up to be a bad one at all!  I am in full on fall mode.

Which means I have had my eyes peeled for some good neutral sweaters to add to my closet.  In my book, there’s nothing better than a good grey sweater!  It makes me oh so happy.  && this one does not disappoint.  It’s basic enough to layer with and has enough detailing to be worn alone.  The material is really soft and not itchy at all.  Perfect to be worn during the week to work or on the weekends when you just want to be casual & cozy.  [wearing a US 4]

&& you all–this scarf… is BACK!  It was my very fave last year so I was thrilled to see that it was back in stock.  It’s oversized, SOOOO soft, under $50 and comes in great neutral shades.  I highly suggest you grab one.  You can thank me later! 😉  ps, I have my eye on this one for my next scarf purchase.

Here’s a couple more perrrrfect grey options from Nordstrom:

Ethan and I went to the movies a couple weekends ago.  We hadn’t been in ages and now I am already ready to go back.  I swear there’s nothing that compares to it in terms of “checking out”.  When we sit and watch tv at home we are always multitasking–working on a blog post/writing emails/checking our phones.  When we go to the movies we sit and focus only on the movie and the chocolate covered raisins and the wine.  (Ok, maybe the last two are specific to only me, but you get the point, ha) The best part? We leave fully relaxed!  And the recliners they have now don’t hurt either!  So, have you all seen any good ones recently?  I need a recommendation.  🙂

Happy hump day!

IN COLLABORATION WITH NORDSTROM

Steal of a Deal! Finds under $100!

I bought a couple things this morning & wanted to share since they were such great deals! Shop my favorite funds under $100 below!

J.CREW: 30% off with free shipping AND some great fall items are actually 40% off! I haven’t bought from J.Crew in yearssss so I’m glad they’re finally back in the game.  I could not resist this oversized leopard fur vest and then I grabbed this large costume necklace too since it’s such a great price and will be perfect with anything from a plain charcoal grey sweater to a fancy holiday look!

H&M: These items aren’t in “sale” but the prices are hard to beat.  I got two of these sweaters last year and LIVED in them for work so I will definitely be grabbing more!

BOOHOO: Since you’re shopping for trend rather than quality with this retailer, everything being 50% off helps—right?!

REVOLVE: How cuuuute are some of these sweaters? I mean….

NASTY GAL: Half off the entire site? Okkkkkayyy.

This is my favorite time of year to shop! Hope you all enjoy some of these picks!

Real life:  This week has been a trying and long one.  But, we’re on the flip side of it now because it’s….FRIDAY!  && I am really excited to share this outfit with you.

I ordered this sweater immediately when I saw it online.  The texture and shape sold me!  I decided to try it in ivory and I love how neutral it is.  I ordered this in a small and thus, was able to get by with it as a dress too.

And I will definitely pair it with tights, leggings & jeans too! The options with an oversized sweater like this are endless.

I wore this exact outfit last weekend to an engagement party.  As the night got cooler I added a grey cashmere poncho over the top.

I got these exact boots last season but they have certainly paid off.  My suggestion?–make sure you have a chunky heeled pair in your closet.  They go with so many outfits and can be worn for hours!

Ok, now let’s weekend.  Who’s with me?

Chenille–The Fabric of the Season

There’s a million reasons why I am excited that Fall is finally here.  We got three different sized white pumpkins yesterday and have them on the island in our kitchen now, so that’s one!  && we made our favorite turkey chili on Thursday night, which was so yum.  But sweater season being here probably takes the cake!

Ethan and I went to the movies on Friday night and I wore this number [obsessed is an understatement] with black jeans and sneakers and it was super cozy.  We saw Home Again and I had a glass of pinot nior.  Such a perfect feel good kind of night.  And last night we had an engagement party and I wore this sweater in white as a dress with some black over-the-knee boots.  It felt so nice to finally have a true Fall weekend!

Those are not the only sweaters I am dyyying over right now.  The sweater in these pics is nothing short of amazing in person.  I love how simple and basic the cut of it is in comparison to how dramatic and lux the material is.  It’s chenille–need I say more?!  Definitely my favorite of the season!  If you don’t own anything similar then you are seriously missing out so jump on board.  Now! 🙂 [wearing a small]

Here is a short clip for you all to watch–we did this mini video this time around because I think it gives you a better view of the sweater.  Do you all like this feature added in?  If so we can do more!  And you can see all our other YouTube videos here.  && I would LOVE for you to subscribe to the Weekend Wishing channel!  🙂

You all know Nordstrom is my go-to for sweaters.  This one is from there and the price point will shock you.  It also comes in two other color ways.  Here are a few more of my chenille favorites:

Before I hop off here I have to mention my newest little handbag.  I got this in right before we went to Chicago last weekend and have been loving it.  It’s such a great mini bag.  I love the structure of it and the guitar strap is so on trend.  I was so relieved to see that my vlog camera fit inside.  Win!

I hope you all are having a fab Sunday.  Happy, happy, happy first day of OCTOBER! Yay!
