Right before we left for our trip to New York and Quebec City Ethan and I both got a serious arm party upgrade and I have been so excited to share the details with you all! The watch game exploded a few years ago and I am beyond happy that it stuck around. For me the beauty of a watch is what a statement it can make. It can instantly make an outfit seem more put together–one of those “finishing touch” items that everyone needs in their closet. Some days I like to pile all my favorite bangles around mine and other days I just wear it solo. Both work!
I have been wanting a black watch specifically for about a year and a half now so when I saw all the great options Rado offered I knew I was about to be a very happy camper. [Although, I will say, I was sooooo loving both this one and this one so I did have a hard time choosing!] I settled on this one and I know I will be wearing it all Fall and Winter. I love the feminine details–thin rose gold on the sides and small diamonds on the face–mixed with the masculine dark color and larger size. && the winning element is the quality–it’s a 100, promise! In the pics above I paired it with this tunic top (great for layering with cardigans or moto jackets and a scarf for Fall), some distressed denim & my new favorite black heels.
This is the first time I got to shoot with Ethan and have him in front of the camera rather than behind it and it was so much fun. I was so glad he agreed. For one, it was a really fun memory. My best friend lives in NYC and he and his boyfriend agreed to help us snap these–thankfully the hilarious commentary from them came along for free. [I hope you all caught that on snapchat, ha!] And also, I think it can be helpful to see items that guys pick out for themselves. Lots of guys have great style they just don’t shop as much as we girls do (serious oversight on their part, right?) so it can make buying a gift for them kind of tricky. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a Rado watch for a nice gift though. This is the watch Ethan is wearing above and he also loved this one! All the watches Rado makes are ceramic which might not sound as impressive as it actually is. It means they are lightweight and very scratch resistant–both qualities I recommend looking for when buying a nice watch for yourself or as a gift. Keep that in mind when looking around at Rado!
What watches are you all crushing on this season? Let me know! I always love hearing from you all!
