Date Night

A tunic sweater you’ll wear tons!

dsc_0337dsc_0368

Sweater || Jeans (on sale for under $40!) || Boots || Handbag || Sunglasses || Choker

I am all about a tunic sweater that has a cute shape but is still over-sized!  I’ve found that those are ones I reach for week after week because they can be paired with leggings, jeans or fitted work pants.  And I am telling you, this one is just SUCH a good feeling sweater.

I am all about neutral sweaters but I am also crushing on this burgundy color this season!  I love how it pairs with black.  However–the marled grey color option is goooood & you can also shop it in black/tan here as well! [wearing a small]

I added a little sass to this circle hem sweater with my FAVORITE over-the-knee boots and a black velvet choker last Friday when I wore it out with Ethan for a Friday night date night.  We grabbed pizza and drinks at our favorite place!

Hope you all are having a good week–thanks for stopping by!

Lacy & Leather

Lacy Top (Under $40!) || Leather Skirt || Lace-Up Heels

Necklace || Margaret Elizabeth Ring [c/o] || Thumb Ring

You should probably get used to seeing this top because I will be wearing it LOTS!  It’s one of those versatile summer tops that you can mix into so many outfits.  I love it–it’s a great price, comes in black too & is so easy to wear because the back is knit.  (I’m wearing an xs for reference.)  I love the mix of textures here with the lacy top, the pleather skirt and the suede shoes–but can’t wait to wear this little number with distressed denim or white shorts too!

Well, we made it through half of the week and the good news is that I finally unpacked my suitcase from last weekend–I am always a procrastinator with that!  Anyone with me?

We have a fairly easy weekend ahead of us and I’m excited to get caught up on some things before Memorial Day weekend is upon us.  We booked a mini trip to DC though so I am super excited!  If you’ve been pleaseeee send me some suggestions!  Comment on here or on my IG or email me! 😉

We went to Cincinnatti this past Thursday evening for a meeting and then met up with a couple of our friends afterward.  We had a drink at Top of the Park and the views of the city were amazing! Such a perfect place to watch the sun go down.   I had a Queen City Fizz (gin, st. germain & champs) and it totally hit the spot. We headed to Senate next for dinner and believe it or not we all had hot dogs–I know, not what you would expect right?  They were seriously so good though!  Mine was called Lindsay Lohan and it had “goat cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, arugula, balsamic & tons of drama” on it—haha!  I loved the description so much that I had to order but it also turned out to be delicious!

This is the outfit that I had on for the evening.  I just got these emerald Nine West heels in and I LOVE them!  ps, they’re on sale!! How fun are they for a pop of color?  I like how they are suede but have a wood heel and a perfect shape.  I’ll be wearing them lots but I have them paired here with my favorite black denim, similar found here, and this cami–which is 40% off now!

I hope you all have had a good weekend–ours was a little dreary & rainy but relaxing!  We finished season 2 of Broadchurch and it was good!  If you like mysteries then it’s a Netflix series you should check out for sure.  (I love listening to the accents in it too!)  A calm weekend was just what we needed after a busy couple of weekends and before we gear up for a couple more.  Stay tuned for an exciting project I’ll be sharing soon!

You know how you always buy one item that really gets you excited for the new season ahead?  Well this little floral number did just that for me this year!  I am loving it here paired with black denim (side note–how did I live without black denim before this last year??) and a jean jacket because I think it’s a good outfit for Spring but I also love the idea of wearing it with white or denim shorts in the coming months too!  The best part is that it pairs well with this lace bralette so a strapless bra isn’t even needed! And if you don’t have a good denim jacket to layer with then go get one asap!  I remember when my best friend in middle school got the cutest denim jacket from Hollister and I was so jealous–seriously.  It’s funny how all these years later, a denim jacket is still so essential.  My exact jacket can be found here.  (I suggest sizing down.  I am wearing an xxs for reference.)

I am going on the hunt for some new warm weather dresses next.  I’ve ordered both this and this white one so far.  Let me know if you all see any cuties that I should check out!

Valentine’s Pink

SAM_4135SAM_4126SAM_4137SAM_4143SAM_4145SAM_4150SAM_4159SAM_4182SAM_4187

Sweater || Jeans || Wrap

Heels || Ray-Bans

If you’re anything like me then you usually end up having a fairly laid back Valentine’s day.  My ideal evening would be a cozy dinner and drinks with my love.  That being said–I don’t really need a fancy red lace dress or black strappy heels.  Although that does sound cute, I doubt I would get much wear out of those pieces.  These nude heels and this v-neck sweater however…I definitely will!  The sweater is such an easy wear because it’s oversized and it’s actually on sale and an extra 30% off right now too.  It comes in other cute colors, but I thought this pink would be a good one for Spring.  A pair of nude heels have been on my list to buy foreverrrrrr and I finally found a basic pair this weekend that’s super affordable and surprisingly really comfortable.  I’m already thinking about what color I’d like to have next…  Oh! And I can’t forget this ruffle wrap because it’s another item that I know I’ll get tons of mileage out of.  It’s plenty big and soft!  I think I’ll be packing it in my suitcase next week as a travel wrap.  (It’s on sale too!)

I hope you all have a Valentine’s Day filled with love–whether you’re heading out to a fancy steakhouse dinner, staying home to cuddle up and watch netflix, or going out with some friends!  –Pretty sure one of the years that I had the most fun was when I went to see the Justin Bieber movie (in 3D no less!) with my friends.  Go right ahead and judge me…I don’t even mind!  🙂
