Thanksgiving Day Outfit

I’m all posted up on the couch with a seriously full belly working on an exciting post that I cannot wait to share with you all tomorrow am! It may be a really late night… [hint, hint: there’s an exciting GIVEAWAY involved that you wont want to miss]

I wasn’t planning on making this outfit into a blog post tonight but after I fell in LOVE with this sweater today I kinda figured I had to! We do two Thanksgivings (one with my fam and one with Ethans) and this was seriously the most comfy outfit. And these boots have become my go-to. I’ve already worn them SO much. If you don’t have a pair of flat OTK boots then I definitely suggest them! [Sweater: wearing a small/medium] [Boots: TTS]

Be sure to snag one asap becuase it’s already sold out once so I have a feeling it will go quickly again. Plus, it’s under $50! This sweater is another great option too!

A New Faux Fur

I have been all about the suede and velvet this season but that certainly doesn’t mean I am forgetting about my all time favorite texture to wear–faux fur! I LOVE a good fur vest. It is so easy to throw on and can instantly make an outfit. Btw, this is my new favoriteeeeeee tunic to pair with a vest.

I think they are the PERFECT thing to wear on Thanksgiving day or to a Christmas family get together becuase you can pair with a tunic and jeans or leggings and be chic yet oh so comfy! [perfect for a day of over-eating] However that being said, it can be really tricky to find a good one. You have to consider what length, cut, color & price you want so I rounded up my favorites that are available this year for you all.

I just ordered this one and I am super excited for it to come in! I love the way it hangs in the front and the price made it way too hard to pass up. I am hoping it will look cute with skirts since its not as boxy as some. (ps, it says preorder on the site but I ordered mine on Saturday and I already got an email saying it has shipped) I ordered a small and I will let you all know how it fits asap.

&& this one is next on my wish list because I love how bold it is. Pair with an all black outfit and large handbag and you are good to go! I am loving this one too becuase it seems so unique with the texture!

I am also super anxious to jump on the stole bandwagon this year… so I ordered this! The price point was so much better than other options I had seen and I think it will look great over a black wool coat, black leather jacket and plain grey sweater.

I know it’s a tad (ok, wayyyy too hot) this week to actually wear this outfit, BUT have you seen those prices above? That’s why I had to share today! These items are a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale [#NSale]that is going on right now but the prices will go up in just a few days. If you’re anything like me then you live in leggings and boots in the Fall and Winter. That being said, I always have my eye out for a oversized tunic to pair with them that is not too short or tight so I don’t have to fidget with it. This sweater hits the nail on the head and it’s soft too! I can definitely see me throwing this on for a Friday night date–it will be cute & cozy whether we are going to the movies, to dinner and drinks or out with friends! I got a size small but I definitely could have gotten an xs and it still would have been plenty big. Here are a few more tunic options that are also on sale right now:

I tried to include a few pictures so you could see the detail on these boots too since they are such a good buy right now. The color of mine is Bark Suede.

And side note: These tanks… if you don’t have one [or four] already then you are missing out! I wear mine during every season– by themselves and as a layering item as seen here. The sizing is a bit tricky but just go by the sizes in the parathensis on the website. All of mine are a 4 US (0-2). I get a regular instead of petite in these.

Sooo, today is my “Friday” because we are leaving bright and early in the morning to go to Asheville. I have a 5:45am barre class scheduled before hand too. Mistake? Probably. But I am so behind in the workout department so I figured it was worth a shot. Wish me luck!

I have wanted some leather leggings for a long time. I had a pair last year that a wore a couple times but they weren’t super comfy. This pair however–they are comfy & cute! They’re knit on the backside and faux leather on the front. I’m wearing them here with my favorite tunic of the season and I know I’ll be sporting them with tennies, a cozy cable knit sweater, big scarf and messy bun on the weekends too.
