Chenille Cardigan

Chenille Cardigan || Topshop Jeans ||  Topshop Cami || Steve Madden Heels || Choker || Gucci Bag || Pom Pom || Quay High Key Sunglasses

So after I wore this cardigan ALL weekend I figured that it needed to make an appearance on the blog!  Seriously–I wore it nonstop.  I had it on with this skirt and boots on Friday night for a friends surprise birthday party and then I wore it with jeans and these sneakers on Saturday when we went out to watch the basketball game at a bar and grab sushi after.

I had actually been looking for a longer black cardigan because I know how versatile they can be (especially as the months warm up some) and when I saw this one I knew it was perfect.  It was the material that sold me.  I mean, chenille?!  It feels truly amazing!  [wearing an xs, it does run big FYI]

Oh and these heels?  They are the BEST.  Under $100, can be dressed up or down, and they come in tons of colors.  I love the simplicity of them.

I am definitely beginning to get the Spring bug so get ready to see some warmer weather items on Weeeknd Wishing in the future.  && we’re actually headed to Miami on Friday too so I can’t wait to share that with you all!

Lightweight Bomber

I feel like we have been fighting a battle with Mother Nature for weeks now!  It seems like every time Ethan and I have a day scheduled to go shoot photos it rains or it snows and we end up with a car full of outfits left on hangers.  However, I do have to say–it was SO nice to have a Saturday afternoon to be lazy.  It POURED down rain here all day so I brought my bedding in the living room and cuddled up on the couch and binge watched “Divorce”.   Just like a million other girls, I have been a loyal SJP fan for as long as I can remember so I left like I had to watch.  Have you all seen it?

But, I was super excited to be able to squeeze in some outfit pics between the drizzle on Sunday.  First up on the list to share with you all had to be this new coat–I’m obsessed!  I think it’s perfect for this time of year.  It’s super light weight but yet still warm so it’s a great transitional item to have in your closet.  The material is so soft and almost butter like && it comes in two other color options.  [wearing an xs]

I hope your alls week is off to a good start!

Coat [on sale!] || Sweater, similar here || Leggings || Tennies || Sunnies || Hat [under $20] || Handbag, similar here || Earrings

This easy outfit was perfect for this afternoon–we met my fam for some deep dish pizza, yummm!  It doesn’t get any more “weekend” in my book than this.  Leggings, a cozy sweater & a warm coat!

thumbnail_img_8191I’ve seriously had this Bernardo coat on since it came out of the box ha! && these leggings by Zella are worth grabbing.. promise!  They are high-waited and the details make them stand out a little. [wearing an xs]  Then I added a bit of trend to the look with these Steve Madden velvet sneakers [wearing my normal size, but I wish I had sized up a 1/2] , this Urban Outfitters satin hat [on sale!] and these Quay over-sized glasses [under $45]!

Hope you all had a perf Sunday!

A little Plaid for the Holidays

dsc_1286dsc_1344

Sweater || Skirt|| Boots || Handbag || Sunglasses || Coat

As soon as I saw this skirt I knew I had to order!  I love the idea of having a classic paid in your outfit especially if you keep it trendy with the cut and fit.  Plus, this skirt immediately took me back to the Cher days in Clueless! [Anyone else know every word of that movie??]  I think I have to be on the hunt for a pleated one next!

I decided to pair this skirt with this blush colored textured sweater because I think it would be a good option for Thanksgiving.  && bonus, it will look really cute with jeans and boots after the holiday is over too! If you’re looking for a bold look you could also throw on a bright green or red sweater with this skirt for a Christmas get-together option.  You know me–I’d probably opt for this black option. 😉 [Sweater: wearing the size option listed as 4 US (fits like a 0-2) and Skirt: wearing a size 0]

And this coat and these boots are wayyyy to good to pass up mentioning. My coat is a complete steal.  Would you believe me if I told you it was on sale for under $40?  Crazy, right?  Yep.  I ordered this right before a trip to NYC last February and I have loved the length of it and the large collar ever since. [wearing a small and I have plenty of room for a sweater underneath] My boots are new and I love how the toe is a little on the pointy side instead of round.  It helps to enlongte your leg since they are a flat pair.  They’re really good quality too considering they are a dupe for a pair that retails over $700.  Marc Fisher has quickly become a go to brand for me when it comes to shoes and these Yenna Over the Knee boots are no exception!  If you already have a black pair that you love then think about getting them in the tan color.  I have a pair of OTK boots in a similar color and I am surprised at how often I wear them.  [I sized up in these so I could add jeans and thick socks, wearing an 8]

I am so excited to start sharing holiday outfit ideas and gift guides with you all!  Let me know if you have any requests on what you would like to see.

Cheers to Hump Day!

Weekend Coffee Run

ig-0829

Sweater || Jeans || Sneaks || Sunnies, also found here in other colors || Fur Pom-Pom || Earrings

You all we made it!  Friday, we meet again!

Ethan and I are headed to Chicago this evening to spend the weekend there and I am so excited.  It’s been a while since I have been to the city and I can’t wait to do a little exploring with my favorite travel partner.  Be sure to follow along on my Instastory–I’ll be sharing parts of our trip on there all weekend.

ig-0854

We snapped these photos last weekend when we tried a new (to us) coffee shop in Lexington, Broomwagon.  I couldn’t help but throw on my favorite black denim and adidas superstar sneaks–perfect weekend wear in my book.

ig-0852&& how cute are the zippers on this sweater?!  I LOVE.  The material is an A+ too because it’s so soft.  FYI, it also comes in a grey, muted blue & olive.  I ordered mine in a 4 US (fits like 0-2).

I added a little sass with these Quay High Key sunnies and this fur pom.  Both are on repeat!

Do you all have any fun plans in the works for this weekend?
