4 Combos Perfect for Fall

There are so many good scarf + sweater combos out there right now [too many if you ask my mail man] so I wanted to round up a few of my favorite options for you all to shop. However–I couldn’t just leave it at that.. I had to throw in some fun sunglasses to complete the look!

The beauty of the items above? You can mix and match all of them because all the scarfs are neutral tones and all the sweaters are great basics.

This ombre scarf is a little pricy but sometimes it’s worth it for a good neutral option becuase you know you will wear it again next year too. && this tunic is a no brainer–perfect length for leggings and boots. How cute paired with these fun round sunglasses?

After buying this cozy number I am now a huge fan of Free People scarves, so I am loving this option. I’d pair it with this textured tan sweater [size up one or two] and these over-sized sunnies with clear trim.

Totally crushing over this cream cable knit scarf and longline turtleneck together too. The perfect ‘winter white’ combo even if it’s only October, ha! Top it off with these dramatic sunglasses in gold. I just got the silver/black version and I LOVE them. They were sold out forever and I am so glad they are finally back in stock at a few retailers!

Never under estimate the number of times you will work a black scarf into your outfit & this one has the cutest detail! I love the idea of it paired with this basic grey sweater and rimless sunglasses. Simple but so good.

My newest scarf obsession

Ok–I know it’s no secret that I love a good scarf. I don’t think there’s anything better to layer with because it’s like being wrapped up in a blanket that you can take off and throw in your purse if you get hot. When I saw this scarf I ordered it ASAP! I loved the thick fringe on the bottom and how over-sized it is. FYI, mine is the sand color and I think it’s much more of a true tan in person. It looks lighter on the website.

I wore this when we went to grab coffee and lunch on Saturday and then I traded the scarf for this moto jacket and added a smaller handbag later in the evening when we went to tailgate for the football game. This sweater is a must buy. Just grab one, you’ll thank me later. I think I’m going back for a third color—seriously.

If you don’t already have a good pair of black jeans and sneaks then I highly suggest you snag both! They are perfect for this time of year and can be worn with all kinds of outfits. Style Tip: Cut your jeans on the bottom to give them a raw hem and make them the perfect length and grab these no-show socks to wear with your tennies.

Layering Pieces + A realllly good sale!

Happy Friday loves! It’s time for another one of those perf October weekends with friends & fam! Whew!

I wanted to share a little style tip for layering that I am 100% on board with–thermal tops! They are so great because they’re thin (so you can avoid a bulky look) but still add in some interesting texture. I have fallen in love with this one that I wore last Sunday. We spent the day out at Keeneland but before we headed there we got up and went to Starbucks so we could get this post finished for you all. I threw on this top and scarf with some leggings and sneaks and I was superrrr content.

I love the soft material and the fact that there are thumb holes! The top is longer in the back and I sized up to a small. This made it the perfect length and the arms weren’t too snug this way either. ps–this scarf, you need it. Really. So soft and I can’t get enough of the texture! I think I may order the cream today… Here’s a closer look!

And I feel like I would be doing a disservice to you all if I didn’t mention this MAJOR Shopbop sale that is going on. [easy] travel look

We’re currently on the road headed to Asheville to meet Ethan’s fam! My sis (love you, Leah!) came over and got Milly last night and we dropped Remi off this morning at the kennel (he was SO excited) so it’s all vacation mode over here and I couldn’t be happier! I really wanted to get in bed and watch the Real Housewives of NY episode last night [priorities] so I just threw a ton of stuff in a suitcase and called it a night. I wasn’t in the mood to make decisions on outfits so I just brought tons and moved on, haha! That’s the beauty of a road trip over a flight I guess. Do you all ever do that? I usually like to prep ahead of time for a trip and pair things down but sometimes it’s nice to just not even have to worry with it! My travel look is linked for you all below.
