Neutral Sweater Lovin!

Holy Moly!  Finally Fridayyyyy! This week was a doozy & I have to be honest–I am glad it’s the weekend again.  January is hard, right?  After the holidays are over and the Winter blues set in, it’s easy to feel like you are sick of everything in your closet. But, I will tell you what helps me.. good neutrals to wear.  I remember that was what got me through last Winter.  Stick to some good, neutral basics.  It may sound boring but I have found that sometimes that makes me happier than trying to do too much.

This sweater is just that!  It’s my favorite color–I can’t pass up a good grey–and the sleeves are just the cutest!  Obsessed with the bell sleeves lately.  ps, it also comes in black and I think that one would be perfect with a ponytail and some statement earrings.

It can be worn for a weekend date night with black denim or a mini skirt and OTK boots or toned down with dress pants and flats during the week for work.  Super versatile! [wearing a small]

&& I know I am a repeat offender with this jacket BUT I seriously love it.  [wearing an xs]

Here are a few other options that I’m loving at the moment.  They are all neutral and would also be easy to mix into several outfits.

I learned this time last year that February is the best time to snag some cashmere pieces.  I got a cream scarf and a grey wrap last year that I have used SO much this year.  So that will be the next thing I am on the lookout for.  I’ll keep you all posted in case you are in the market too.

Street Style with the perfect jacket–that’s on SALE!

I wore this look to dinner this past Saturday and I loved it so much that I put it back on on Sunday and we shot it so I could share with you all!  We went to our favorite pizza place to split a capicoal, cherry tomato & goat cheese pizza and have a sour beer and this look was perfect.

First off, I can’t say enough great things about this faux leather jacket you all!  I got mine during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale this past summer and I have actually worn it lots & lots since.  It’s the perfect piece for layering.  The quality is SO good for the price point–you’d never know it was under $100 if you saw it in person.  And the best news is that now it’s on sale too!  Sizes will go fast so don’t wait to snag one!  FYI, there are also 3 other color options.  [wearing an xs]

I know this sweatshirt is not appropriate for every event—but how cute?  “This wine is making me awesome”?!  I couldn’t resist.  (Even though when I pulled it out of the box Ethan just looked at me and said …really??? with an eye roll haha!) [wearing an xs/s]

Are you all as obsessed with the choker trend as I am?  I wear mine all.  the.  time.  This one is under $5.  Seriously!  It’s turned out to be such a good buy.  I got mine in the summer but the exact one is still available!  I should probably order a silver one actually…  I also just ordered this satin one in the mauve color.

If you order these jeans then remember to size up!  They are my new go-to but they definitely run small!  [wearing a 26×30]

Ok, now back to Vanderpump Rules.  Are you all hooked on Summer House?  How sneaky/smart was it of Bravo to just transition right into that new show on the Montauk episode?  Just another reality show (full of subsistence, haha) to add to my DVR list!

I feel like we have been fighting a battle with Mother Nature for weeks now!  It seems like every time Ethan and I have a day scheduled to go shoot photos it rains or it snows and we end up with a car full of outfits left on hangers.  However, I do have to say–it was SO nice to have a Saturday afternoon to be lazy.  It POURED down rain here all day so I brought my bedding in the living room and cuddled up on the couch and binge watched “Divorce”.   Just like a million other girls, I have been a loyal SJP fan for as long as I can remember so I left like I had to watch.  Have you all seen it?

But, I was super excited to be able to squeeze in some outfit pics between the drizzle on Sunday.  First up on the list to share with you all had to be this new coat–I’m obsessed!  I think it’s perfect for this time of year.  It’s super light weight but yet still warm so it’s a great transitional item to have in your closet.  The material is so soft and almost butter like && it comes in two other color options.  [wearing an xs]

Weekend Plans

 Sunday, already?!  This weekend seriously flew by.  Can’t we just get one more day?  We went up to Cincinnati last night to stay with some friends.  We tried a new resturant, had some drinks and went to a going away party for one of Ethan’s friends.  It was super cold so I bundled up.  I didn’t have a chance to snap any sort of outfit pic but you can see what I wore below! All this snow & cold weather has me in a serious lounge mood.  This sweatshirt is perfect for that.  It’s made of the softest fabric.  I’ve found that having things like this to lounge around the house in during the evenings makes me feel so much better than when I used to wear an old t-shirt or something. && this blanket cardigan is a dream.  I cannot stop wearing it!  I really want to find a silky cami (maybe this one) to wear under it soon with jeans and heels.  [wearing an xs]

On the agenda tonight: dinner with Ethan’s fam & the Golden Globes!  I cannot wait to see the all the dresses!

Good Vibes

So lately I have really had a thing for sweatshirts.  That’s not typically my style but I feel like there are just too many cute ones out there right now to pass up.  && I am just really, really into casual pieces at the moment.  Perfect for chilly, grey weather–which is what we’ve been having here.

Plus, what’s better than a sweatshirt that actually says ‘good vibes’?!  I think that pretty much means you will have a better day just by throwing it on.  It’s a soft one too!  [wearing a small]

If you don’t have a pair of white sneaks yet then get on that.  You will wear them tons!  [wearing a size 6 1/2 in mine, be sure to size down at least one full size]

I found a really cute alternative to my Givenchy bag I have been carrying non-stop!  Both this one and this one are so similar in size and shape and so, so much more affordable!

I have yet to get solid goals written down for 2017, but I am definitely tackling that ASAP.  I have so many things I would like to do for Weekend Wishing this year floating around in my head and I am really, really excited about all of them but I also feel like if I don’t actually take the time to write them down then they will get overlooked.  So, that is on the agenda for sure.  And I know there are some weak areas that I need to improve on. I want to write those down too so I can tackle them as well.  Have you all made any resolutions yet?
