Happy Monday, loves! I’m kicking off the week ahead of us by sharing a fun outfit and 3 podcasts I listened to last week. My sweater is a new one and I am in love! I cannot get enough of the texture and I am feeling the oversized slouchy fit. I think it will be the perfect one to pair with denim shorts in the summer too. I always like to have knits like this to throw on with them over a bathing suit. It also comes in lilac. [wearing a small]
It has been beyond cold here! And I know we aren’t the only place feeling the pain of this weather lately but it makes it so hard to leave the house haha. On top of that, Ethan and I both have a bad cold so the fact that we even ventured out on Saturday for coffee was a plus. (We spent the rest of the day inside and miserable haha.) I clearly should have worn my Uggs because it actually hurt to have any bare skin out. Hence, why a couple of our pics were taken inside the Daily Roastery and our street shots were snapped in a total of 30 seconds, maybe. However, when I went to link my sneaks for you all in this post, I noticed that they are on sale now. So, yay for you all–I am glad I decided to throw them on afterall! [runs tts, wearing a 7.5]
Since it has been so frigid, moisturizers are 10x more important. You all know how annoying dry skin can be and I feel like I have been on the search for some good products for YEARS now (I am super, super picky and get grossed out easily by textures, containers, etc). I recently found a few that I love so I wanted to be sure to share with you all. Give these a try if you’re on the hunt!
Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer with Argan Oil
I saw Jacey from Damsel in Dior post this product on her IG story a while back and decided to give it a try when I was browsing at the drug store one day. I have to tell you, I was really skeptical. But–the results made me a true fan. I think it makes my skin so much softer throughout the day. I found myself thinking oh my skin is softer than normal and then I realized it was on days when I used this product. It’s crazy how it locks in the moisture.
Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration
First Aid Beauty sent me some products a while back to try and this was the first one I gave a go. I fell in LOVE. I have since repurchased it several times with zero regrets. The texture is silky so it does not irk me. Bonus! And the best part about this is that you can use it all over. I like for your body if you are feeling really dry and I like it for the face as a night time moisturizer. I use Retin-A a couple nights a week and when I do I mix it with this before I put it on. It’s a dream product.
I go to Simply Blue Salon here in Lexingon and my hair stylist, Rosa suggested this Aveda product. Since I am always looking for something great to put on my lips, I gave it a try. I am liking it to wear to bed right now. Since Ethan likes to have the fan on, I will get chapped lips if I don’t put something on. && this seems to be helping!
I looked for a new daily moisturizer for my face for sooooo long. When I was at Sephora grabbing some of my other FAB product refills I decided to give this one a try too. LOVE! Thank gosh I found this one. It is perfect for me to apply after washing my face in the mornings and before I apply my make up.
&& I can’t leave you all without discussing this fab coat. I just got it in the mail on Friday. I have a long black down coat that is packable from Bernardo that I truly adore. I bought it last Winter and it has come in SO handy. When the Bernardo team reached out and offered me one of their new styles I knew I wanted to jump on it. I have fallen hard for this brand–the quality is 100% and I think the styles are spot on for casual coats. I love how this one is a shorter style and has silver hardware on it. Lastly, but certainly not least.. let’s take a second to chat about this new bag that I have been RAVING about in IG. How great is the gunmetal hardware mixed with the neutral leather? It’s a great size, has both an outside and inside pocket and is currently on sale! && this is just a little random side note, but the turn knobs are attached–if you rotate one to open the bag the other one automatically follows suit too so you don’t have to take the time to do both before grabbing your wallet or chapstick out. Genius, right? You can find a couple other colors available here too.

So, remember when I shared a couple of my latest purchases last week? You can see the post here. But this leopard number was included and I have to say, I ended up loving it. It is a little more bold than what I usually pick up but when I saw the fur and the silver zipper I had to go for it. It was time to add a little leopard back into the mix! && I was so happy to see that J.Crew finally has some swoon worthy items back on their site. I haven’t bought anything from them in years but I think they have made a little turn around and stepped up to the plate this year.
A faux fur vest is definitely something you should have a couple of for Fall! I decided I wanted this one over-sized so I ordered up and I love the fit. [wearing a small] However, if I wanted more of a normal fit then an xs would have been plenty big so just keep that in mind. It is 20% off if you buy today too–woohoo! I am super tempted to get it in this solid color as well. I die over that vivid burgundy color this season.
&& I love how it pairs with all the neutrals I wear! I layered it with this super soft grey sweater here because, well, I haven’t taken it off much lately. I am wearing it tons! [wearing US4 (0-2)]
Yesterday I thought it was Thursday allllllll day. So, I am glad we’ve finally made it to Friday Eve. Bring on the TGIT line up of shows!

Apparently I am the girl who snaps pics of her outfit at a local, casual resturant. Yep, that’s me haha! But it is important to me to show you all outfits that I wear in my real life. And this is an outfit that I wore out to get some ceviche and a marg with Ethan. It’s easy and these earrings make it fun, right?! Those colorful pom poms won me over! Bonus: This deep v tank is on sale now for only $18! Ive worn it lots because you can dress it up or down. [wearing a small in the tank and bralette]
I know we are in the heat of Summer right now, hence my outfit above, ha! And even though I, for one, am not ready for it to be over–I am still really excited for warm nights on the patio and days spent on the lake–but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t also excited about the idea of new sweaters, boots and moto jackets! That’s the beauty of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale being right around the corner. I can spend some time picking out new items for the seasons ahead, buy them on sale and then hop right back into my swimsuit! And when the cooler temps hit I will have new goodies to pull back out.

Don’t get me wrong, I love an easy summer outfit BUT at times I find myself thinking they can seem a bit unfinished. It’s easy in the cooler months when you can layer with a jacket or add a scarf or hat. It gives the outfit a bit of dimension and makes it seem balanced and complete. I think the answer to this in the warmer temps is a belt. Belts come and go as far as fashion trends but they are definitely in right now. Statement belts are having such a moment and I am certainly not complaining about it! This western belt has been a staple for me. I wear it ALL. THE. TIME! I just love how it can pull an outfit together. [wearing a small]
Last weekend I had it on with jeans, a tee and red heels for a Friday night out with friends downtown and I pair it with distressed denim shorts for a daytime look often too. [wearing a small]

Oh, and I know this off the shoulder top is just a plain black knit and nothing special really but it has served me well! I have ended up needing it with so many outfits. It’s only $25 so grab one. We took these pics on the cobblestone streets in Soho. Soho will forever be one of my favorite areas to be during the day in NYC. I love the shopping (even if it is often just window shopping) and the fact that there’s so many great coffee shops, restaurants and little bars for a cocktail. It’s where you will find many of the trendy well known spots and it’s also where you will run into a new little gem during each trip. Ethan and I found a great little bar with a rosé happy hour that we stopped into!
