Off the Shoulder Love

I got this off the shoulder swing top a couple weeks ago and I have worn it wayyy to much already! I love the style of it because it is flowy so it’s cool enough to wear now but I think it will be a great transitional piece too. And this color is what really sent me over the edge! It’s SUCH a great dark neutral color–just a little different from the typical black. I wore it last Friday with the black denim and heels that you see above and I also included a couple pics below from when I wore it with white jeans and sandals–since the month of September is all about the “wear now and wear later” items. && side note, those white jeans are definitely worth adding to your cart [[especially for only $23]]! You will be so happy you have them to pull out come next summer. They are a straight leg fit (more modest than the painted-on-legging look) and the fabric is the perfect thickness so it’s not see-through but yet still has some stretch. Those Margaret Elizabeth bracelets I am wearing still give me all kinds of heart eyes, btw! I have had them a while and they are still my favorite bracelets to throw on.

I’m loving this look just because it’s casual and this ‘Wish You Were Here’ tank just screams summer! I wore it last weekend when Ethan and I grabbed coffee and brunch but I’ll definitely be sporting it over a bathing suit this summer too as we head down to the lake. And this hat will be coming with me–like everywhere! It’s the perfect for hiding a bad hair day or shading your face from the sun & I love the structure of it!

We went to Cincinnatti this past Thursday evening for a meeting and then met up with a couple of our friends afterward. We had a drink at Top of the Park and the views of the city were amazing! Such a perfect place to watch the sun go down. I had a Queen City Fizz (gin, st. germain & champs) and it totally hit the spot. We headed to Senate next for dinner and believe it or not we all had hot dogs–I know, not what you would expect right? They were seriously so good though! Mine was called Lindsay Lohan and it had “goat cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, arugula, balsamic & tons of drama” on it—haha! I loved the description so much that I had to order but it also turned out to be delicious!

This is the outfit that I had on for the evening. I just got these emerald Nine West heels in and I LOVE them! ps, they’re on sale!! How fun are they for a pop of color? I like how they are suede but have a wood heel and a perfect shape. I’ll be wearing them lots but I have them paired here with my favorite black denim, similar found here, and this cami–which is 40% off now!

I hope you all have had a good weekend–ours was a little dreary & rainy but relaxing! We finished season 2 of Broadchurch and it was good! If you like mysteries then it’s a Netflix series you should check out for sure. (I love listening to the accents in it too!) A calm weekend was just what we needed after a busy couple of weekends and before we gear up for a couple more. Stay tuned for an exciting project I’ll be sharing soon!

So last weekend we had super chilly temperatures in Kentucky and this weekend we were blessed with gorgeous, warm days–meaning dressing can be tricky! I stumbled across this white moto jacket recently and I knew I had to have it for layering in the next few months. I have it styled here with black denim to keep is simple, but it also pairs well with florals, a casual v-neck or an easy dress. The Stuart Weitzman heels I have on here are pretty new and I can already tell I will get lots of wear out of them. Any shoe that is a neutral color and looks good with distressed denim AND a fancy dress is a winner in my book. I found a couple of more affordable options for you all to browse here & here.

Suede Wedges

First of all, I am totally obsessed with these wedges! I really wanted a suede pair this year similar to the Chloé pair that I love [in my dreams!] and I was considering ordering these, but then I found the pair I’m wearing here and I fell in love. The height is really realistic because it makes them comfy and they’re not too high so I feel like you can wear them to work or during the day too. They also come in 5 other colors. I almost went with the Almond Nubuck color.. love that choice too!

I almost ordered this v-neck tank a few times last year and it was just one of those items that I always ended up removing from my cart–however, I am really glad I pulled the trigger last week! It’s sooo soft! Beware, the white color is fairly sheer. Typically I hate when I order a white or cream top only to find out that it’s paper thin, but I really like this one paired with a lace bralette underneath and I think it will be one I reach for a lot to layer with.

I actually ordered this scarf thinking I might want to have it to pair with a dress on Easter as a wrap. It comes in oodles of colors so I might have to order another because it turns out it’s a perfect weight for Spring/Summer.
